Liz Pfeffer

(6/7 grado) trabajó durante 8 años como maestra bilingüe en las escuelas primarias Navajo y Montezuma, aquí en Albuquerque, y en el Colegio Los Nogales en Bogotá, Colombia. Aunque ha estado fuera de las aulas dedicándose a su familia y al trabajo en organizaciones sin fines de lucro, ella ha continuado participando activamente en la educación de sus hijos en su capacidad de coordinadora del Programa de Arte en la Escuelas para la Escuela Primaria Bandelier y enseñando arte en las clases de sus hijos.  Creció en Portland, Oregon y se graduó de Northeastern University en Boston en Estudios Latinoamericanos. Antes de mudarse a Albuquerque hace diez años, pasó cuatro años en Bogotá donde inició su carrera docente y conoció a su esposo.  Liz está muy entusiasmada con regresar a la enseñanza y encantada de ser parte de la comunidad de Cien Aguas. (6th/7th Grade) spent 8 years as a bi-lingual elementary school teacher at the Navajo ES and Montezuma ES here in Albuquerque and at Colegio Los Nogales in Bogota, Colombia.  Though she has been out of the classroom focusing on her family and pursuing her interest in non-profit work, she has remained actively involved in her children’s education by being the coordinator of the Art in the Schools program at Bandelier ES and teaching art in her children’s classrooms.  She was raised in Portland, Maine and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in Latin American Studies.  Before moving to Albuquerque ten years ago, she spent four years in Bogota where she kicked off her teaching career and met her husband.  Liz is very excited to be back in the classroom and is really looking forward to being part of the Cien Aguas community.
